Creative Commons sign post

Following on from a posting on my blog in November about copyright which was prompted by two internet friends who raised the issue I'd like to sign post those who are interested to a very informative posting about Creative Commons on Kirsty Hall's blog. Creative Commons is a less restrictive copyright license which enables you to share your images for others which they can then use/alter/change in their own work PROVIDED you are credited with the initial image.

I won't go into any more detail because Kirsty explains it better than I can and she also provides the relevant links.

However just thinking about the idea of sharing ones images (not all of them - images that fall into a specific category) makes me think about the tons of photos I have taken over the years which I might share with others if I use Creative Commons licence for them.

I took the following images whilst I was in Ireland in the summer. It summarises a familiar view of the 'old' Ireland which, in places and in certain generations, is still very much present.

Great post...thanks for the reminder to blog about the everyday things that people want to read. As a real estate agent, I too struggle with what to blog about. Thanks!
